The former minister of Development, Cseke Attila, president of UDMR Bihor and senator, will be the candidate of this formation for the position of president of the Bihor County Council, currently held by the liberal Ilie Bolojan.

Cseke was proposed and nominated to run with the vote of approximately 300 representatives of the UDMR Bihor, he was going to make a tandem with the UDMR candidate at the Oradea City Hall, Biró Rozália.

Voted by representatives

“I will run for the County Council,” he declared on Wednesday, for Bihorthe president of UDMR Bihor, Cseke Attila.

He stated that “this was the proposal of the county delegates”, Cseke being appointed with the vote of approximately 300 representatives of UDMR Bihor, gathered last Friday, on April 19, in Oradea, within the Council of County Delegates.

“It was also logical that if I am going to run for the local elections, I should run for the Bihor County Council. My activity was related to the entire county, as a minister I helped not only Oradea”, Cseke also said.

The leader of the UDMR Bihor stated that the official presentation of the candidates for the headship of the CJ Bihor and the Oradea City Hall – where the former deputy mayor Bir was appointed since the beginning of the monthó Rozália – will be done this Sunday, in an event.

“Ms tributea she was a good deputy mayor, and today issues that were made during her mandate are in force in Oradea”, said Cseke about her electoral partner, quoted by the Hungarian press with the electoral slogan “Nagyvárad, a city like no other, as an alternative to Oradea”.

He ran again, but for Oradea City Hall

Cseke Attila also ran in the past in the local elections, but not for the headship of CJ Bihor, but for the position of mayor of Oradea.

The last time, in 2020, he obtained in the race for Oradea City Hall 11.39% of the votes cast by voters in the municipality, and previously, in 2012, he obtained, for the same position, a score of 18.87%.

Four years ago, Szabó József, who obtained 15.72% of the votes cast, was a candidate for the position of president of CJ Bihor from the UDMR.

Cseke Attila was Minister of Health in the Boc Government between December 2009 and August 2011, as well as Minister of Development between December 2020 and October 2012 in the Cîțu Government, and December 2021 to June 2023 in the Ciucă Government.
