The Roma community of Constanța is invited, on Friday, April 26, 2024, starting at 18:00, in the large hall of the “Jean Constantin” Educational Multifunctional Center for Youth, to a Show dedicated to the International Roma Day.

Organized and financially supported by the Pro-Europa Roma Party Association, through its president Nicolae Păun, with the support of the County Organization of the Constanta Roma Party, through its president Dan Constantinescu, the cultural-artistic event will bring a series of special artists to the Constanta stage, such as maestro Ionel Tudorache , a symbol of fiddle music, the band Gipsy Casual and the band “Șatra” from Mangalia.

The organizers promise a show full of energy, with quality live music and dances specific to the Roma ethnic group, traditional and modern.

“We celebrate International Roma Day, a day recognized internationally and nationally. We welcome the people of Constanta, both representatives of the ethnic group and lovers of Roma traditions, to a show that will be a special one, with special guests, such as the artist Ionel Tudorache, with the taraful, famous for the old fiddle music. In the second part of the event, it will be possible to watch the band Gipsy Casual, with ethnic specific choreographies, and the band “Șatra” from Mangalia”, said the president of the Constanța Roma Party County Organization, Dan Constantinescu.

He also mentions: “At the same time, I want to thank the president of the Pro-Europe Roma Party Association, Mr. Nicolae Păun, for the involvement and financial support of the Show dedicated to the International Day of the Roma. I also thank the president of the Constanța County Council, Mr. Mihai Lupu, as well as the management of the Constanța County Cultural Center Teodor T. Burada, for supporting the values ​​and traditions of our community.

International Roma Day is celebrated annually by the international community, on April 8, in honor of the recognition of the culture, history and rights of millions of Roma around the world. This celebration is an important moment to reflect on the cultural, historical and social contributions of the Roma and to draw attention to the struggles faced by this marginalized community, an opportunity to promote diversity and social inclusion, to raise public awareness of to the discrimination and stereotypes faced by the Roma.
