A man from Pufesti commune, Vrancea county was fined 12,000 lei after abandoning three puppies on a vacant lot near Adjud municipality.

According to IPJ Vrancea, on Tuesday, the policemen of the Bureau for Animal Protection within IPJ Vrancea were notified by the Adjud Municipality Police about the fact that one of the patrols on duty spotted a citizen while abandoning three dogs (puppies) on a street in the locality.

Following the checks carried out together with police officers from the Adjud Municipality Police, it was established that the person in question is a man from the Pufesti commune, who traveled by car near a vacant lot, where he abandoned 3 canine specimens.

The police asked for the help of the representatives of the Adjud City Hall, as well as the veterinarian from the municipality, they managed to take only one of the chickens, the other two fled to the vacant land in the vicinity.

On Wednesday, another cub was found and the search will continue to find the third one.

The man from the Pufeşti commune was sanctioned for abandonment, with a fine of 12,000 lei. Also during the month of April 2024, the police officers of the Bureau for Animal Protection within the IPJ Vrancea detected another person who abandoned two common breed canines in the outskirts of the municipality of Focşani. The person in question was fined 3,000 lei.
