The Archdiocese of Bucharest will organize the Pilgrimage of Flowers on Saturday, in Bucharest, which will be attended by hierarchs, priests, monks and lay believers from the capital and from Ilfov county, reports Agerpres.

According to a press release from the Archdiocese of Bucharest, organized on the eve of the great feast of the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem (Floriile), the pilgrimage will begin at the Radu Vodă Monastery (4:15 p.m.) and will take place along the following route: Mărăşeşti Boulevard, Dimitrie Cantemir Boulevard, Piaţa Unirii (East and North side), Sfântul Anton Church – Curtea Veche (16.45 – first stop) – Unirii Square (West side), Brâncovenească Crucea (17.15 – second stop), Bucuriei Hill.

The procession will end at the Patriarchal Cathedral (around 5:45 p.m.), where the pilgrims will be greeted by His Beatitude Father Daniel, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

The main moments of the pilgrimage:

* 14.30 – Vespers service at the Radu Vodă Monastery;

* 16:00 – at the Radu Vodă Monastery, the willow branches will be consecrated, which will then be offered to the believers present;

* 16.15 – departure in procession from the Radu Vodă Monastery to the Patriarchal Cathedral;

* 4:45 p.m. – stop at the Church of Saint Anton – Curtea Veche, where the procession will be greeted by the priests and believers of this church;

* 5:15 p.m. – the procession reaches the Brancoven Cross at the base of Bucuria Hill (second stop);

* 17.45 – arrival at the Patriarchal Cathedral, where the pilgrims will be welcomed by Blessed Father Daniel, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, who will consecrate the icon of the feast of “The Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem”, will say the prayer of blessing for the pilgrims and will address a word of instruction .

The pilgrimage is organized with the support of the Basilica Press Center of the Romanian Patriarchate.
