Another cloud of Saharan dust has arrived in Romania these days, and the phenomenon persists in the areas where it rained.
Meteorologists have announced that dust deposits can be observed in the areas and intervals in which it will rain. On Wednesday afternoon, the air mass laden with Saharan dust particles will move northeast and away from the country.
Photos of large concentrations of Saharan dust deposited on cars appeared on social networks. Saharan dust is so fine that winds quickly spin it up and carry it into the middle and upper troposphere. Thus, they can rise up to a height between 5 and 10 kilometers in the atmosphere, notes doctordebine.ro.
That fine sand contains magnesium, iron, calcium and phosphorus granules, even mercury, and exposure to this dust is harmful to health.
