In the light preceding Passion Week and around the Feast of the Resurrection, the “Nae Leonard” National Theater of Opera and Operetta in Galaţi is preparing to offer an exceptional musical show, meant to bring light and joy to the hearts of the people of Galaţi.

On Saturday, April 27, from 6:30 p.m., music lovers are invited to a sonic journey through the magnificent works of the Italian composer Giacomo Puccini. This year, the entire musical world celebrates the 100th anniversary of the great composer’s death, and the vocal-symphonic concert organized this weekend is a tribute to the “Nae Leonard” Theater team.

The famous work “Messa di Gloria”, composed by Puccini at the beginning of his career, will take the audience on a spiritual and emotional journey, in which the subtle voices of the soloists, Sebastian Băncilă (bass), Paul Lungu (tenor) and Alin Munteanu (baritone ), will blend harmoniously with the sublime sound of the symphony orchestra and the theater choir.

Memorable fragments from the works of Giacomo Puccini, such as “Intermezzo” from the opera “Manon Lescaut” and “Te Deum” from the opera “Tosca” will complete the concert program. This musical anthology dedicated to the immortal genius of Puccini aims to offer not only an exceptional listening experience, but also to inspire meditation on the importance of prayer and the eternity of faith.

Maestro Victor Dumănescu (Cluj-Napoca) will be at the conductor’s lectern on Saturday.

Tickets can be purchased at the box office inside the theater or via the blt.ro online platform.
