A sales agent employed by a commercial company in Piatra Neamț is accused of robbing his employer, and in one year he caused damage exceeding one million lei. In order to prove the criminal activity, on April 23 the policemen from the Neamț Economic Crime Investigation Service executed four home search warrants and the same number of arrest warrants, as part of a criminal file in which investigations are being carried out under the aspect of committing the crime of embezzlement .
“Following the investigations carried out by the police, it emerged that, in the period September 2022-October 2023, a 32-year-old man from Piatra Neamț, as an employee of a commercial company, would have appropriated from its patrimony many goods, namely tires“, according to IPJ Neamț.
The young man allegedly prepared false fiscal documents for the delivery of the goods, in fact the tires were delivered to commercial companies controlled by two persons, aged 29 and 50, respectively, both from Roman. At the same time, following the expansion of the investigations, it was established that the suspect had previously created a criminal scheme for the embezzlement of the company where he was employed, by issuing fiscal documents for the delivery of goods to commercial companies controlled by the other two, establishing with them that the goods not be paid or partially paid, to have the possibility to place more orders.
“The damage caused by the criminal activity is 1,029,000 lei. In order to recover the damage, precautionary measures were instituted by seizing a car, worth approximately 75,000 lei, and a building (land + house) worth approximately 380,000 lei“, the cited source also shows. The 32-year-old man and the 29-year-old man were detained for 24 hours, as they are being investigated for committing the crimes of embezzlement, respectively complicity in embezzlement.
