If you live in a backyard and have two or more pets in your household, you’d better make sure they don’t leave the yard unsupervised. A man from Corod, who owns no less than five canines that he raises in the yard of his house, chose to file a criminal case after the quadrupeds came out on the street and attacked several people, one of them being a child of only 12 years. The girl was in front of the gate when the five dogs from the neighboring yard rushed at her, apparently for no reason. The child managed to escape without being bitten by the animals, which were driven away by the mother who jumped to her aid, but the gendarmes, called by 112, would find out that there was another victim, who bore the traces of the fangs of the aggressive animals.

“From the girl’s mother and the neighbors, the gendarmes learned that, before scaring the child, the dogs attacked a 62-year-old woman from the locality, biting her leg and hand. The injured person was identified by the gendarmes, and she stated that while she was walking on the street, towards the house, she was attacked by dogs, without provoking them”, stated Capt. Cătălin Bădin, the spokesperson of IJJ Galati.

The owner of the animals, a 47-year-old local resident, admitted that all the dogs were his. He imprisoned them in the yard, in the presence of the gendarmes, promising that he would not let them loose again in such a way that they could attack someone, but this did not save him from a criminal case. The gendarmes did the first formalities for the Tecuci police to continue the investigations and take the necessary measures.
