A temporary road is opened, to reduce traffic jams in…

--

The traffic jams that are created at peak hours on Calea Borşului, in the area of the construction site from the passage that is being built over the roundabout, could disappear.

Anti-congestion measures

Queues of cars have been forming since last December, because car traffic in the direction of Oradea is diverted to a road near the Industrial Park and, thus, restricted to a single lane per direction for almost a kilometer.

In order to eliminate the blockages, the builder of the passage set up a temporary road over the green space in the direction of travel towards the city, about 200 meters from the construction site, so that drivers can return as quickly as possible from the current diversion to the two lanes of traffic on Calea Borsului.

“The temporary road, set up at the beginning of this week, will be open to road traffic from Wednesday”, he declared, for Bihorthe head of the Technical Department within the City Hall, Sebastian Marchiş.

The representatives of the municipality hope that this improvisation, which will be used during the works on the passage, will streamline the traffic in the direction of Oradea.

Work continues…

As the Bihor he also wrote, the construction works of the passage over the roundabout at the entrance to the industrial park are completed in a percentage of about 30%.

Until now, the builders have diverted the networks from underground, arranged the resistance structure of the passage and raised its legs.

During this period, the executor of the works assembles the metal structure of the construction under the conditions in which all the necessary decking has already been brought to the site.

According to the contract, the deadline for the execution of the passage is set for the end of next year. However, after discussions with the builder, the representatives of the municipality hope that it will be open to car traffic as early as September of this year, even if the finishing touches could take longer.

The construction works of the passage above the roundabout at the entrance to the industrial park were awarded last year for the sum of 53.7 million lei to an association of companies represented by Freyrom.

The construction of the passage, which began last December, was tendered as a package with the construction of a collector road, 2.2 kilometers long, along the Calea Borşului road, and the construction of a connecting road between the collector road and the intermodal terminal in the vicinity Episcopia train station.
