Students from Vaslui participated in the Olimpiad of Romanian language and literature in Olt county

Between April 18-21, 2024, the national phase of the Romanian language and literature Olympiad took place in Slatina, in Olt county – grades V-VIII. Vaslui County was represented by five students, as follows:

Timofte Natalia-Maria, 5th grade, “Constantin Parfene” Vaslui High School, mentor teacher Elena Alexa;

Tănase Maia-Maria, 6th grade, Secondary School No. 1 Gara Banca, tutor teacher Mihaela Acasandrei and tutor teacher Elena-Liliana Dumitriu-Broștic, within the Vaslui County Center of Excellence;

Cebuc Victoria-Maria, 7th grade, National College “Cuza Vodă” Huși, tutor Carmen Hodea and tutor Nicoleta-Georgeta Solomon, within the Vaslui County Center of Excellence;

Ignat Smaranda, 7th grade, “George Tutoveanu” Bârlad Secondary School, tutor Cristina-Mona Căruțașu;

Garabet Ariana-Maria, 8th grade, “Constantin Parfene” Vaslui Secondary School, tutor Rodica Mihalache.

There were four days full of emotions since the opening ceremony, but the most intense experiences were during the two days of the competition, April 19 and 20, when our students took the written test and the oral test, knowing that participating in this phase is full of challenges. To their delight, they had nice subjects and scored good and very good. Throughout the national stage, they were accompanied by Professor Elena Alexa, whom we thank for her involvement.

Their passion for this wonderful school discipline was encouraged and closely supported by the coordinating female teachers, without whom the students would not have gotten here. We congratulate them on the great work they do with our students.

We are honored by the fact that the student Timofte Natalia-Maria, from the 5th grade at the Vaslui “Constantin Parfene” Secondary School, obtained a MENTION awarded by the Ministry of Education, having a very good score.

The Romanian National Language and Literature Olympiad – grades V-VIII was a stop in the realm of literature and our students were able to demonstrate that literature is an art, and preserving the mother tongue is a toil of the best.
