Railway traffic is stopped, Wednesday morning, in Chiajna due to a disturbance in the electricity supply system of the contact line. Several passenger trains stop at București Noi, București Nord and Grădinari stations.

The CFR SA company announces that railway traffic is temporarily closed at this time on the Chiajna – Grădinari section, due to a disturbance in the electricity supply system of the contact line signaled in the area of ​​the Chiajna station.

The specialized staff of the Bucharest Regional CF intervenes with a pantograph dredge near the Chiajna station, in the area of ​​the road crossing, to remove some external cables that have fallen on the contact line, remedy the disturbance and re-energize the electrical energy supply system of the contact line on line II Chiajna – Grădinari, line I being closed for works.

Until the checks and interventions carried out are completed, trains IR 1591 (Bucuresti Nord – Craiova), R 9001 (Bucuresti Basarab – Roșiori Nord), IR 1823 (Bucuresti Nord – Deva), RE 11611 (Bucuresti Nord – Craiova) and 11612 (Craiova – București Nord), which were scheduled to transit the respective area, are temporarily stationed at București Noi, Bucureşti Nord and Grădinari stations.

The estimated time for completing the interventions, re-energizing and reopening traffic on line II is about 60 minutes.
