A 53-year-old woman was injured following an accident this morning, on Calea Bucharest in Craiova. After the first investigations, the police determined that the victim was crossing the street legally when she was hit by a car driven by a 52-year-old Gorjean. According to the law enforcement officers, the accident took place at the intersection of Calea Bucharest and Romul streets.

“On the morning of April 3, at 9:00 a.m., the Craiova Road Office was alerted to the occurrence of a road accident on Calea București street. The police went to the scene and found that a car driven by a 52-year-old man from Gorj county, while traveling on Calea București street, intersection with Romul street, would not have given priority and a 53-year-old woman from the city of Craiova, who was crossing the road on the pedestrian crossing, was allegedly injured. Following the event, the woman required medical care, being taken to a medical facility. The two were tested with the breathalyzer, the results being negative”, said the Dolje policemen.

The latter also explained that a criminal file was drawn up for committing the crime of culpable bodily harm.
