- 17 employers in the field of preschool education and day care activities for children were also checked
Labor inspectors from Gorj carried out 222 checks in March of this year, of which 147 were aimed at verifying compliance with the legislation in the field of labor relations, and 75 in that of safety and health at work, ITM Gorj announces in a press release.
Thus, they applied fines in the amount of 613,500 lei, of which 519,000 lei for violating the legislation in the field of labor relations and 94,500 lei for non-compliance with safety and health rules at work. 448 legalization measures were ordered.
Also, the labor inspectors with control duties in the field of labor relations detected during the mentioned period, 4 people performing undeclared work, being fined in the amount of 60,000 lei.
Examples: Two employers from the communes of Bâlteni and Bolboși, with fields of activity bars and other activities serving drinks, were sanctioned, each, with the amount of 20,000 lei for using a person in their activity without concluding an individual employment contract beforehand.
Another employer from the city of Țicleni, whose field of activity is other land transport of passengers, was sanctioned with the sum of 20,000 lei for hiring two employees exceeding the duration of the working time established in the individual part-time employment contracts.
Also, between March 25-29, 2024, at the level of the Gorj Territorial Labor Inspectorate, the National Campaign was carried out to verify the way in which the legal provisions regarding the conclusion and execution of individual employment contracts are respected by employers who carry out activities in the fields of “Preschool Education ” – CAEN code 8510 and “Daily care activities for children” – CAEN code 8891. As part of this action, the labor inspectors checked a number of 17 employers.
ITM Gorj: The objectives of the campaign were:
-identification and verification of economic agents operating in the fields of “Preschool education” – CAEN code 8510 and “Daily care activities for children” – CAEN code 8891, regarding compliance with the legal provisions in force;
– the elimination of non-conformities found by ordering mandatory measures to remedy them and applying the appropriate contraventional sanctions;
– increasing the level of awareness of employers and workers regarding the need to comply with legal provisions in the field of labor relations.
“The labor inspectors from the Territorial Labor Inspectorate Gorj will continue the control actions in the next period as well, throughout the territory of Gorj county, for the verification by the employers of the legal provisions in the fields of competence”, states the chief inspector George Romanescu.
