The mayor of Târgu Jiu, Marcel Romanescu, is paying from public money for the publication of his activity report for 2023, which it is not known what it will include. And it’s not an April Fool’s trick.

The mayor of Târgu Jiu, Marcel Romanescu, approved spending the exorbitant sum of 32,000 lei for the publication of his activity report. This decision was made in the framework of an auction by direct entrustment to Tipografia Prod Com. The report will have 256 pages, polychromy, glossy chalkboard interior, cased cover with glossy chalkboard of 250 gr/m2 and a spiral binding. However, a crucial question arises: what will this report contain that citizens pay this amount for?

No details about the contents of the report were provided, leaving taxpayers in the dark as to the justification for these expenditures.

With a price of 64 lei per copy, the question arises whether this report will bring any real value to the city’s residents. 500 copies will be printed, but it is not clear where they will end up either.
