A 68-year-old man from Teslui, Olt county, was detained by the police, after fatally stabbing his wife.

According to IPJ Olt, last night, the man, against the background of alcohol consumption and an intra-family conflict, started hitting his wife.
He would have hit her several times with a piece of wood in the head area and stabbed her with a sharp-cutting object in the thoraco-pectoral area.
As a result of the event, the woman died. Her body was transported to the Slatina County Emergency Hospital, in order to carry out the necropsy.
The prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Olt Court ordered the detention of the man for 24 hours against the man.
The man was placed in the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center of the Olt County Police Inspectorate. Today, the man will be brought before the court with a proposal for preventive arrest.
