“Smile in autism”. Philharmonic charity event opens its doors

Today, between 18:00-21:00, an exceptional charity event will take place at the Pitesti Philharmonic. It is dedicated to all people with autism and autism spectrum disorders in Argeș county and beyond, on the occasion of International Autism Awareness Day.

Auction with over 40 items

The event will include both a large auction with over 40 items donated by folk craftsmen, artists, designers, lawyers, politicians, businessmen, on behalf of FC Argeș Club, as well as a grand show of folk and light music, supported by famous artists . Paula Seling is the headliner, she will give an extraordinary 45-minute recital, but the performers Elisabeta Turcu, Emilia Dorobanțu, Emilia Ghinescu will also take the stage, accompanied by the Doina Argeșului orchestra led by conductor Prof. Cătălin Iancu, by the tympanist Cătălin Iancu junior, from the “Flori Argeșene” and “Doruri Muscelene” Folklore Groups. At the opening of the event, the group of children and young people with special needs “Divine Dancers”, as well as the young soloist Aneta Maria Geanina Chiriac, all beneficiaries of the Association of Parents and Children with Autism Argeș, will fill our souls with emotion and joy.

Paula Seling will perform for 45 minutes

The charity event is organized by the Association of Parents of Children with Autism Argeș, with Pitești City Hall and the Pitești Local Council, the Pitești Philharmonic, the Argeș County Council, the Argeș County Center for Culture and Arts, the Pitești Popular School of Arts and Crafts, the Pitești Children’s Palace, as partners. Music School “Musicando cu Adina Sima”, Argeș County School Inspectorate, National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest – Pitesti University Center. Together with them, but also with the help of sponsors (among which we mention Supermarket Jam – main sponsor, Supernova, Service Top Agro, Teilor and many others), respectively of media partners, APCA Argeș addresses the general public through this show for better awareness and acceptance of people with special needs around us, with them and their companions having free entry. The invitations are a donation and are 100 RON for adults, respectively 30 RON for children, and can also be purchased one hour before the show, subject to availability, at the headquarters of the Pitesti Philharmonic.

Free therapy hours and Solidarity March

All the funds that will be collected after the show will be allocated to the continuation of the project “Free therapy hours” granted to children and young people with special needs within APCA Argeș. The Association of Parents of Children with Autism Argeș will also organize tomorrow, on International Autism Awareness Day, a large solidarity March in the center of Pitesti Municipality, where as many participants as possible are expected to make the cause of Autism heard and understood.
