Cornel Dinicu was released by the Prahova Court, after rejecting the appeal of the prosecutors to the decision of the Ploiești Court.
After this news, the owner of Ferma Dacilor, on trial for several illegalities related to the fire that left eight victims, says that he will go to the tourist complex in Tohani and that he will plant trees in memory of those who perished in December. He will also take part in a memorial service.
Cornel Dinicu escaped from house arrest
The owner of Ferma Dacilor escapes the measure of house arrest, after the prosecutors decided to place him under judicial control.
Rights and liberties judges of the Prahova Court rejected as unfounded the appeal of the prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Prahova Court, against the decision of the Ploiești Court given on Monday. Thus, Cornel Dinicu was placed under judicial control for a period of 60 days.
He will go to the tourist complex in Tohani
On Saturday, the owner of Ferma Dacilor will go to Tohani, where he will plant trees in memory of the victims of the fire.
He will also take part in a memorial service for those who lost their lives following the December tragedy. During the judicial review, he is allowed to communicate with the persons involved in this file. Also, the other two administrators of the tourist complex received this agreement.

Cornel Dinicu, under judicial control for 60 days
The owner of Ferma Dacilor was initially accused of culpable destruction. He was remanded in custody at the beginning of January. A month later, he was placed under house arrest.
According to the investigation, the construction of the main body of the building was carried out in-house, without obtaining building permits and authorization. That area includes a restaurant, kitchen and accommodation spaces on the ground floor and attic.
“The tourist unit operated in violation of the provisions of Law no. 307/2006 on fire protection, HGR no. 571/2016 for the approval of construction categories that are subject to approval and/or authorization regarding fire safety and applicable regulations in the field, respectively without obtaining the approvals and authorizations that should have been issued by the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations for proper functioning and without compliance with fire safety regulations. The previously exposed situation created the conditions for the outbreak and propagation of a fire on December 26, 2023, around 5:45 a.m. (…), the probable source of the fire being “the thermal effect of the electric current”, the Public Prosecutor’s Office showed near the Prahova Court.
