Gheorghe Pecingină reacted after the vice president of PNL Gorj, the mayor of Roșia de Amaradia commune, Liviu Cotojman, launched the theory that Marcel Romanescu would be sabotaged by the social democrats in order not to raise claims for the position of president of PSD Gorj after the local June 9.
The deputy does not believe the scenario that the liberal leader presented in the public space.
“It is an important factor. AUR, in Gorj, the leading parties, so to speak, PRM, PPDD, here, now, AUR, have always had a score that cannot be neglected, so it is important to see. It will not influence much, it may influence the number of local, possibly county councilors, but it will not influence the presidency of the County Council or the mayor. I don’t think that Romanescu has problems with the old social democrats, and I can tell you this with certainty, I made an analysis both of the posts and of the reactions they have when you meet them and have discussions. It is certain that Marcel Romanescu was a difficult loss for the PNL. Marcel Romanescu will not be sabotaged from inside the PSD, because they are pragmatic. These things do not happen in the election campaign. We also have local and European parliaments, it is excluded, it will not be sabotaged, because they very much want to have a majority both in the County Council and in the Târgu-Jiu municipality council, to have the Târgu-Jiu town hall and other town halls. They went to great lengths to sabotage themselves, there is no such thing. These are launched theories, it’s an election pre-campaign, everyone launches something, but realistically speaking, no one hits their Tesla on their knees”, the parliamentarian stated.
