On Thursday evening, March 28, 2024, His Holiness Father Andrei, Archbishop of Vad, Feleac and Cluj and Metropolitan of Cluj, Maramureș and Sălaj, served at the Church “Saint Andrew the Apostle and the Holy Martyrs Brâncoveni”, also known as the Beclean Cathedral, being invited within the cycle of spiritual evenings during Great Lent, organized by the Orthodox Archdiocese of Beclean.

From 18:00, the hierarch officiated the Canon of repentance to our Lord Jesus Christ, surrounded by a council of clerics, headed by the archpriest of Beclean, priest Dragoș Cristian.

At the end of the evening, Father Metropolitan Andrei spoke a word of teaching on the theme “Spiritual Crucifixion”.

Every Thursday evening during Lent, starting at 18:00, at the Beclean Cathedral, the Beclean Orthodox Archdiocese, together with the Beclean Priestly Circle, organizes several spiritual evenings where various clerical personalities are invited to give words of instruction.

The first guest was father Crin-Triandafil Theodorescu, the parish priest of the Lușca Orthodox Church, who opened the cycle of spiritual evenings and spoke on the theme “Justice or love?”, and in the following weeks before the Feast of the Resurrection, teaching staff from the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, according to the dean of Beclean, priest Cristian Dragoș, the initiator of this cycle of spiritual evenings.
