The national men’s polo team of Romania found out their opponents in the preliminary phase of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The tricolors will debut against Greece on July 28.

Romania will meet Greece in polo in the first match at the Olympic Games
Qualified for the Olympic Games following the withdrawal of South Africa, the Romanian national polo team will debut on July 28 with a match against Greece.
The duels with the USA, Croatia, and Italy will follow, with the tricolors ending the preliminary phase against Montenegro.
France, Hungary, Greece, Japan, United States, Spain, Australia, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy and Romania are the qualified teams for the 2024 Olympic Games.
Romania finished in tenth place at the World Polo Championship in Doha, but reached the Olympics due to the fact that the first 9 teams were already qualified, and the tricolors took the place of South Africa.
The polo tournament at the 2024 Olympic Games will take place between July 27 and August 11. We will have two groups of six teams, four of which will qualify for the quarter-finals.
This will be the first participation of the Romanian polo team at the Olympic Games after 12 years.
