The first metropolitan CT Bus runs could be carried out in August and will be ensured following the establishment of the ADI Public Transport Intercommunity Development Association, which includes several town halls in the Metropolitan Area.

To begin with, citizens from the localities located around Constanța could benefit from shared transport with CT Bus buses, said Mayor Vergil Chițac, at the meeting of the Local Municipal Council on Thursday:

I think that in August the ones in the first ring must be ready: Cumpăna on the South relationship, on the West relationship is Valu, on the North relationship – Ovidiu and with Năvodari.

Another project proposed to local elected officials stipulates that public transport on the CT Bus lines will be free for Romanian soldiers, veterans in theaters of operations abroad.

It is a change to the regulation of shared transport, the facility referring to personnel participating in military actions, missions and operations carried out outside the national territory.

Mayor Vergil Chițac:

The people represented Romania. If it wasn’t for the Romanian Army in exercises and theaters of operations before joining NATO in 2004, we might not be joining NATO. Romania was admitted to NATO also for the exceptional impression made by the Romanian Army in the theaters of operations.
