On Saturday, April 27, 2024, the bank of the Ampoi River was the venue for the New Year party, organized by the Sri Lankan community in Romania. Hundreds of people partied at Alba Iulia, and on Sunday morning, the day after the event, the place looked impeccable.

Hundreds of people took part on Saturday in the party on the bank of Ampoi, in Alba Iulia. Although some would have expected the place to look deplorable, full of dirt, as usually happens after events with a large number of participants, the surprise came on Sunday morning when the people of Albaiul who went for a walk in the area found that the place it looks much better than before.

The Sri Lankans have cleaned up the place to perfection, the banks of the Ampoi River looking immaculate. Pots of flowers also appeared on the picnic tables in the area, proof that even though they are in a foreign country, they know how to respect both the people here and nature, being an example to follow.

We remind you that the Sri Lankan New Year was celebrated by the Sri Lankan community in Romania on the bank of the Ampoi river, in Alba Iulia, with a big party with music and traditional food. Hundreds of citizens from the Asian country, who work in Romania, were present at the event.

Dozens of people from Sri Lanka work at construction companies in Alba county, which is probably the reason why this place was chosen. The big party was attended by hundreds of people who work in Alba, Sibiu, Cluj, Arad, but also other cities in the country.
