From June 14, Romanians can go to Varna, Sofia or Istanbul by train. How much does each trip cost?

CFR Călători is relaunching, from June 14, the Bucharest-Istanbul summer tourist train with connections in Bulgaria to Sofia and Varna. A ticket for the “Romania” train costs 56 Euros for Istanbul, 32 Euros for Sofia and 31 Euros for Varna (Bulgaria).

,Make your holiday travel plans ahead of time! CFR Călători informs that, between June 14 and October 14, 2024, the international train “România” will ensure a daily direct connection from Bucharest to Istanbul / Halkali, Varna, Sofia and back. Tickets to/from these destinations are already on sale,” CFR Călători reported.

A 2nd class ticket to Varna costs 31 euros (about 154 lei), and the timetable is as follows: Departure Bucharest – North Station 10:47 and arrival Varna 20:55. For the return, departure from Varna is at 07:45 and arrival in Bucharest at 17:17.

A 2nd class ticket to Sofia costs 32 euros (about 160 lei), and the timetable is as follows: Departure from Bucharest – North Station at 10:47 and arrival in Varna at 20:21. For the return, departure from Varna is at 07:00 and arrival in Bucharest at 17:17.

The international train “Romania” will leave for Istanbul at 10:47 from the North Railway Station and arrive at the Halkali railway station at 06:34. For the return trip, departure from Istanbul is scheduled at 20:00 and arrival in Bucharest at 17:17.

The period in which the “Romania” international train will run is June 14 – October 14, 2024.
