On Friday, between 11:00 and 11:30, the public alarm sirens from the “Lucian Blaga” High School will sound. According to the Constanţa City Hall, in the Faleza Sud neighborhood, an exercise will take place at an economic operator, during which the mode of operation of the public alarm system will be checked.

“Please don’t panic, it’s just an exercise.

During the performance of this activity, the citizens of Constanta must not interrupt their normal activity, because this exercise only involves the staff from the local public administration level”, specified the representatives of the municipality.

The acoustic alarm signals of the population, public institutions and economic operators are: air alarm, disaster alarm, air pre-alarm and the cessation of the alarm.

The duration of each alarm signal, for all alarm means, is as follows:

The “Distress Alert” signal consists of five sounds of 16 seconds each, with a ten-second pause between them. The “Air Prealarm” signal consists of three sounds of 32 seconds each, with a 12-second pause between them. The “Air Alarm” signal consists of 15 sounds of four seconds each, with a four-second pause between them. The “Cessation of the alarm” signal consists of a continuous sound, of the same intensity, lasting two minutes.
