Romania’s women’s double sculls team, formed by Ioana Vrânceanu and Roxana Anghel, won the gold medal at the European Championships in Szeged, Hungary, on Sunday.

Ioana Vrânceanu and Roxana Anghel were clocked with a time of 07 min 52 sec 05/100, followed by Greece (08:00.87) and Croatia (08:03.13).
We remind you that it is the second gold medal for Romania, after Gianina van Groningen and Ionela Cozmiuc won, on Saturday, in the women’s double rowing event, light category.
In the men’s double frame (M2-), the crew formed by Florin Arteni and Florin Lehaci obtained, also on Sunday, the silver medal.
On Saturday, April 27, Romania won three medals at the Rowing EC, one gold, one silver and one bronze.
The gold was won in the double rowing, light category (Gianina van Groningen and Ionela Cozmiuc), the silver was won in the women’s four sculls (Mădălina Bereş, Maria Lehaci, Magdalena Rusu and Amalia Bereş), and the bronze in the men’s 8+1 (Mihăiţă Ţigănescu, Ciprian Tudosă, Constantin Adam, Mugurel Vasile Semciuc, Florin Arteni, Sergiu Bejan, Ştefan Berariu, Florin Lehaci, Adrian Munteanu).
