A race against time is underway in Serbia to locate 2-year-old Danka Ilić. The girl disappeared from Banjsko Polje, near Bor, according to Novinite.
The activation of the “Find Me” system marks a first for Serbia, underscoring the urgency of the situation.
Danka has brown hair, brown eyes and is about 85 centimeters tall. He was last seen wearing purple pants and an olive green jacket. Her hair was tied in a ponytail.
Search efforts are intensifying as rescue teams, including search dogs and helicopters, move into the rugged terrain.
There is fear that the girl could be in Bulgaria or Romania
The little girl’s father sent an emotional message on social media and fears that the little girl could be in Romania or Bulgaria. If the child has been abducted, every piece of information counts.
Vidin in Bulgaria is an hour and a half away from Bor (the town where the child disappeared). Dobreta Turnu Severin in Romania is two and a half hours from Bor. Both cities are close enough for the little girl, if she is abducted, to be transported. in any of the countries.
Missing, reported late
She went missing on Tuesday at 14:00 and is still not found, and even Serbia belatedly reported the case. She is 2 years old and my mom said she was wearing the clothes in the photo when she disappeared!
Roadblocks litter the region, with police meticulously inspecting every passing vehicle. More than 2,000 citizens join the search, reflecting the community’s determination to find the missing child. Mayor Aleksandar Milikić confirms the extensive search area, which covers 10 square kilometers.
Despite the large-scale search, challenges arise with inclement weather and difficult terrain hampering progress. Danijel Aleksić, from the Salvamont Service, acknowledges the coordinated effort led by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Drones, dogs and helicopters are used in support.
However, as the rain dampens the search, the urgency to locate Danka only intensifies.
