The head of PNL Cluj, Daniel Buda, answered the critics regarding the start of the works on the subway. The MEP stated, on a local radio station, that the works will definitely start, maybe even this year.
“I want to tell you one thing. This project saved money from the PNRR because Brussels allocated these resources, of course, with certain conditions. Part of the money allocated to be used on the green component, and this green component is assumed by this metro from Cluj-Napoca.
So I am sending a message to those who have concerns in this area: the subway will start, maybe this year as we are in an advanced phase of design and start of works”, said Daniel Buda.
At the same time, the president of PNL Cluj specified that intensive work is also being done on the bypass belt component of the municipality.
“Also, let them be convinced that we are also working intensively on the bypass belt component of the Cluj-Napoca municipality. These two major objectives are financed from various European sources. We have to talk about European money. We would not have been able to develop Romania without these financial resources,” Daniel Buda said.
