Romania will receive a total of 2.13 billion euros from the Just Transition Fund (FTJ), to which is added 391 million euros of national contribution, for six counties, money to mitigate the socio-economic impact of the climate neutrality transition for each of the six counties. Funding is for both the public and private areas.

On the Just Transition program, the scoring method is different because it is also reported at the time of submission, first come first served. For the development of entrepreneurship, there are three important categories of financing: ensuring innovation and technological transfer, entrepreneurship development and the circular economy, but also the development of business incubators and accelerators and other business support structures.

The institution that coordinates this program is the Ministry of European Investments and Projects (MIPE), through the Management Authority for the Just Transition Program and five bodies established at the level of Regional Development Agencies (RDAs).
