Outrageous case in a village in Vaslui: a 20-year-old young woman with mental deficiencies was raped by her own father, but the mother defends the aggressor: “She is guilty. He is not to blame, he would have thought I was in the house”

A 46-year-old man from the town of Rafaila, Vaslui county, was arrested on Tuesday, March 26, accused of raping his own daughter, who suffers from certain deficiencies. Although the man admitted the facts, the victim’s mother, as well as other relatives, declare that the aggressor is not guilty, they find mitigating circumstances for his actions. Instead, they put the victim against the wall.

According to the representatives of the Vaslui County Police Inspectorate, the 20-year-old young woman is a beneficiary of the Center for Inclusive Education in Negresti, where she lives from Monday to Friday, going home only on weekends.

On the first weekend of March, when she returned from home to the center, the young woman was called to the doctor’s office to be given medication. Noticing that she was depressed, the medical staff asked her if she had a problem, at which point she burst into tears and told them that during the three days she was at home, her father had mocked her every day, they reported sources close to the investigation for HotNews.ro. The representatives of the center immediately notified the police.

The police investigation was carried out with difficulty, considering the young woman’s deficiencies. The evidence collected, including the forensic evidence, showed that she was the victim of sexual abuse.

Interviewed by the police, the father admitted that he had sexual relations with his daughter, but claimed that the young woman would have agreed.

On Monday, the man was detained by the police, and on Tuesday, the Vaslui Court ordered his arrest for 30 days.

The victim, put to the wall by those who should protect her

After him, at home, his wife and other relatives accuse the young woman of having her father arrested. The most vehement of all is the girl’s mother, who says that the daughter should have claimed another boy from the village, not the father.

The woman admits that the man told her after three days that he “made a mistake”, but also came up with an explanation. She claims that the man would have entered the house where his daughter was naked and that he probably confused her and therefore had sexual relations with her.

“He is not guilty of anything. She is guilty. He has no fault. He was out with the cattle, and she called him to come home. He came, entered the house, where she was undressed. She didn’t realize it, he thought it was me, but I was out in the village, at the store. About three days later, my (husband no) told me what happened, that he was afraid to tell me”, declared the mother of the young journalists present in Rafaila on Tuesday.

The woman says that the daughter should have reported to the police another young man in the village with whom she allegedly had sexual relations in the past, and not her father. Although the husband admitted both to her and to the police that he had sexual relations with his daughter, the woman considers him innocent and regrets that he ended up behind bars.

Not only the aggressor’s wife blames the victim, but also their other relatives, who consider the man a good man and that “probably, he didn’t realize what he did”.

“He is a very good man. A homely, homely man. Like men, he nibbles as much as he can (he consumes no alcohol), but what man doesn’t nibble? But don’t knock, don’t make a fuss. Too bad about this boy. He went with the cart to plough, to sow. I feel sorry for him. When I met her (victim no.) I told her: it’s nice that they put your father in prison. She was looking at her phone and laughing. I don’t think she is healthy”, said Elena I., a relative of the arrested man.

According to the conclusion of the Vaslui Court, from March 26, the 46-year-old man was charged with three acts of rape. He did not contest the arrest decision.

The victim returned to the school center where she is enrolled, but at the end of the week she will go home again to the mother who accuses her.
