The accident on the M1 in Hungary, captured on video / Visibility drastically reduced following the dust storm

The accident took place on the M1 highway in Hungary due to a dust storm that suddenly reduced visibility.

On Saturday, Budapest registered a record in terms of wind power, which reached a gust of 117 km/h on Janos Hill. On the Saffir-Simpson scale of hurricanes, at a wind speed of 119 km/h one can talk about a category 1 hurricane, therefore the record on Saturday in Budapest was very close to this force.

The accident on the M1 was captured by a video camera on board a lorry traveling on the first lane of the motorway. The images show how the visibility drops suddenly due to the sandstorm, and the vehicles collide violently with each other.
