In a story posted on her Instagram account, Erika Isac shared with her followers her experience with anxiety and depression. She testified that she suffered from severe anxiety and depression, two conditions that, in her case, seemed to be closely related to each other.

“I had severe anxiety and depression at the same time”

Erika Isac shared that two years ago she reached the peak of her anxiety. During that difficult period, it was necessary to undergo treatment with anxiolytics (“antidepressants, but the weakest on the market”, as she says). So medical intervention was needed to deal with the difficult period he went through.

“I had severe anxiety and depression at the same time. They were somehow connected to each other. Two years ago I reached the highest point of anxiety. I also followed a treatment with anxiolytics, i.e. antidepressants, but the weakest ones on the market,” said Erika Isac.

“The most important thing was that I pull myself, because you have nothing else to do”

Erika said that the antidepressant treatment lasted for a year and stressed that despite the medical treatment, the most important thing was her personal effort to overcome her state of severe anxiety and depression.

She admitted that she had no choice but to strive to rise above her condition and move on. For her, this involved facing challenges and moving forward, even if this seemed, at first, a difficult task to accomplish.

Towards the end of her revelation, Erika Isac sent a message, encouraging people who are going through or have gone through the same problems, to continue the fight. She assured them that even though it may sound cliche, one day it will get better.

Her statement was a call for empathy and understanding for all those who struggle with anxiety and depression, a message that it’s okay to accept help when we feel we need it, not to give in to the problems in our lives and not to we hide from them.

“I followed that treatment for a year, but the most important thing was to pull myself together, because, unfortunately, you have nothing else to do but pull yourself together, move on, get out of bed, head straight ahead, because you have nowhere to go.

Anyone dealing with this, if they hear this message, know that it will get better. I know it’s cliché, but one day it will get better“, Erika Isac also said.
