Kanal D will broadcast “Guilty of Love”, a Turkish series broadcast by another TV station

Kanal D will soon bring to the public a new emotional production, “Guilty of Love” (original title – Masumlar Apartimani), in which love and its healing power become central elements. Well, we are dealing with an unprecedented situation because the series is already broadcast by another television station. “Guilty of love” is already shown on TDC, but under another title, “Nevinovații”. The Turkish series premiered on April 17 on TDC.

The two-season, 71-episode production was broadcast in its home country by the channel TRT 1 between September 15, 2020 – May 24, 2022 and enjoyed large audiences.

“Masumlar Apartimani” is based on a book written by Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu (“Çöp Apartman”), an acclaimed psychiatrist and writer from Turkey. It is not the first time that Gülseren’s memoirs have been adapted for TV. “The Bride of Istanbul” with Asli Enver and Özcan Deniz and “Prisoner of Destiny” with Demet Özdemir and Ibrahim Çelikkol were also inspired by her experiences.

“Guilty of love” has in the cast, in the main roles, two beloved Turkish actors: Farah Zeynep Abdullah, whom the viewers watched in the series “Betrayal” (the role of Aylin), and in “Kosem” (the role of Princess Farya), and Birkan Sokullu, one of the most charismatic young Turkish actors.

What is the story in “Guilty of Love”

The series presents in a disturbing manner a dramatic life story, inspired by reality, of two lovers who carry the burden of past tragedies and who get to know each other and fight together for their love.

Han Derenoglu (Birkan Sokullu) is a handsome young successful businessman who returns home to take care of his seriously ill father Memduh (Attila Sendil) and his sisters Safiye (Ezgi Mola), Gulben (Merve Dizdar) and Neriman (Gizem Katmer), marked by traumatic childhood experiences.

Han isolates himself from any social activity, dedicating his time to taking care of his family, until the day when, following an accident, he meets İnci (Farah Zeynep Abdulah), with whom he falls hopelessly in love.

Inci, who lives with her grandfather and brother, also hides terrible dramas experienced in her childhood, and during the meetings with Han, the two will fight to overcome the past full of suffering and to enjoy life and love. Throughout the series of events that will quickly follow each other in the lives of the protagonists, Safiye, Han’s sister, will be the one who will constantly oppose the relationship between the two, for fear of being abandoned by him.
