The Queen’s favorite niece, absent at Easter. He could be a popular royal figure, but he prefers discretion

This is not the first time that this popular royal figure has been absent from an important event in his family’s life.

Lady Louise Windsor, the daughter of Prince Edward, who is said to have been the late Elizabeth’s favorite niece, was absent on Sunday from the royal Easter service, where the British royal family traditionally gathers, at the chapel of St. George of Windsor.

This time, Louise lacked motivation, as the 20-year-old is preparing for her college exams. She is currently studying English literature at the University of St. Andrews of Scotland, the same that Kate and William followed.

However, it is not the first time that Lady Louise is not present at this event, the young lady was also absent from last year’s celebrations. And this is despite the fact that, at this time, when the British monarchy is widowed by two of its most popular figures, any young member can make a difference when it comes to public appearances.

Despite all the notable absences from the Easter reunion, King Charles and Queen Camilla greeted the crowd with smiles and good cheer yesterday at their annual service at Windsor Estates Church.

The monarch made his most important appearance to date since being diagnosed with cancer after undergoing prostate surgery in January, around the same time his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton underwent surgery.

Compared to previous years, when they used to walk all the way to the chapel, this time King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived for the service by car. Even so, despite being warned by doctors to limit interaction with other people due to the risk of infection, Charles shook hands with some of those gathered outside the church to see him in person and wish him a speedy recovery.

It is clear that, for Charles, duty is above any disease, be it a cruel one like cancer.
