Cristi Minculescu broke up with Rodica, the woman who saved his life and was his wife for 40 years.

He turned 65 on January 9, and now he’s changed his look and seems to be in great shape.

“Today I feel like a champion, only thanks to you! I love you, thank you!”, wrote Cristi Minculescu on social networks.

The lead singer of the band Iris divorced his wife after 40 years of marriage. She is the woman who donated part of his liver and saved his life. Now, Cristi Minculescu has a new girlfriend, namely the manager of the band Iris, Raluca Mihai, writes ciao.ro.

Cristi Minculescu founded the band Iris on his birthday, in 1980. The band has millions of fans today.

In 2009, Cristi Minculescu was hospitalized in a clinic in Regensburg, Germany. The artist had been suffering from acute polycystic liver disease for several years.

“The disease, which causes many cysts on the liver and kidneys, was inherited from his father and has evolved recently. The cysts grew and began to affect the liver functions”, stated Dr. Dorel Săndesc, the doctor from Timisoara who regularly consulted him.

He was told that he urgently needed a transplant and his wife offered him part of her liver. The doctors did the tests and saw that she was compatible. This is how Cristi Minculescu got a new chance at life and got rid of cirrhosis.
