Here, the two will meet with doctors and patients.
“His Majesty the King will soon resume his public activities after a period of treatment and recovery, following his cancer diagnosis,” Buckingham Palace announced in a statement on Friday.
The palace did not specify the state of the king’s health. The nature of the cancer from which the British sovereign is still unknown.
A spokesman for Buckingham Palace emphasized, however, that “the treatment program will continue and that the doctors are sufficiently satisfied with the progress made so far for the king to resume some public engagements.”
However, these will be “adapted, if necessary, to minimize the risk regarding the healing” of the king.
Buckingham Palace announced at the beginning of February the king’s illness, discovered during a prostate operation, a few days before, and stated that the sovereign had started treatment.
His last public appearance took place on March 31.
After attending the traditional Easter service, the king took a crowd bath, shook hands and exchanged pleasantries with the waiting public outside Saint-Georges Chapel in Windsor, west London.
