Viktor Orban predicts the change of the world order
The Hungarian Prime Minister declared that liberal democracy could end this year, “an ungrateful period”, as he calls it. He spoke of replacing the liberal-progressive world with a sovereignist one. Viktor Orban delivered an opening speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
According to Orban, the liberal-progressive world order has failed, bringing only wars, discord, economic collapse and chaos.
Its followers claimed that their mission is to realize their own ideals, and not to represent the people, and they divided the world into democracies and autocracies, stating that their role is to wage a crusade against autocracies, Viktor Orban also said.
The Hungarian Prime Minister is pinning his hopes on Trump
Viktor Orban, a close associate of Vladimir Putin, has repeatedly spoken out against supporting Ukraine. He promoted the same speech as Kremlin propaganda. He has come into direct conflict with the European Union and is seeking to approach Communist China as an alternative. Viktor Orban also hopes for the return of Donald Trump to the White House, a fact that would bring him somewhat out of isolation on the international stage.
“The supporters of this old world are still at the helm in Brussels, and while it is not my business to intervene in American politics, I fear they are also in Washington,” he warned.
The Hungarian prime minister referred to the sovereignists, far-right groups with views close to his own. Orban said he would do everything in his power to remove them
“Let the era of the sovereignists finally come, let’s return to the peaceful and safe path that made the West great,” said Viktor Orban.

Viktor Orban is getting closer to the Chinese Communists
Xi Jinping will visit Hungary at the beginning of May, announced Gergely Gulyas, Viktor Orban’s chief of staff, quoted by Reuters. He stated that the event will take place on May 8-10. The Hungarian official said that it is in Hungary’s interest to have good economic relations with as many countries as possible.
Gergely Gulyas praised Communist China saying it was “stronger than the European Union”. The Hungarian official says that Hungary considers it unnecessary to draw ideological boundaries in the economic field and says that he is happy about Xi Jinping’s visit.
In February, when a senior Chinese official met Viktor Orban and Interior Minister Sandor Pinter in Budapest, China offered to support Hungary on security issues outside of trade and investment relations. Hungarian-Chinese cooperation takes place in the context of Budapest’s last decade’s attempts to assert its independence from the European Union.
