Tens of thousands of Ukrainians, who are outside the country, will not be able to obtain new passports

--

Ukraine has temporarily banned men eligible to serve in the military from applying for passports abroad. As a result, men between the ages of 18 and 60 will be able to apply for or renew their passports only in Ukraine, according to Sky News.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced that consular services for men in the mentioned age group are suspended until May 18.

It is estimated that around 86,000 Ukrainian men of military age live in the EU.

Earlier this month, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky approved a bill that lowers the age limit for recruitment from 27 to 25.
