Following additional investigations in the case of Ana, the 19-year-old young woman from the Republic of Moldova, troubling details came to light.

It seems that, despite previous assumptions, Ana-Maria may have managed to leave the house of the individual who took her on the occasion and who was later identified as the main suspect in her abduction and death.

After her family reported her missing, following a supposed visit to meditation, no one was able to get in touch with Ana Maria.

All this time, Ana Maria was subjected to terrible tortures, the lifeless body of the pregnant woman being found a week after her disappearance.

Although it was initially assumed that the man involved was caught while trying to hide Ana’s body in the trunk of the car, the recent statements of the head of the IGP, Viorel Cernăuțeanu, cast a shadow of doubt on this scenario.

According to these statements, the 19-year-old would have left the house of her alleged aggressor on her feet, thus contradicting the initial version.

“What I can say for sure is that the exit from the suspect’s house was on her feet, to the means of transport.

I cannot provide them with a large part of the details of the investigation because the file is under the management of the Prosecutor’s Office, which leads the criminal investigation. Any information provided could jeopardize the progress of the criminal investigation. The documentation process was not limited to the analysis of video images and the deciphering of telephone conversations. In the first days, the searches took place in the municipality of Orhei, later, based on the data we had, we went to Telenești district. Certain circumstances show that the person thought some actions and had some intentions, that gives us some reasonable suspicion. But it is a reasonable suspicion, not a finding.

The main suspect in his case is a 45-year-old ex-policeman who was seen picking her up in his car the night she disappeared.

After discovering Ana’s lifeless body in a forest, at a distance of 21 kilometers from the home of the 45-year-old driver, the authorities decided to search his home and car. Rummaging through these places, the police found clues that shocked everyone involved in the case.

According to the statements of the authorities of the Republic of Moldova and taken by Cancan, following the searches carried out in the home and in the vehicle of the man suspected of murdering Ana-Maria, several objects intended for women were discovered, including articles of clothing. This discovery has raised new questions, and the authorities are considering whether the number of victims could be higher.
