A stunningly youthful-looking 60-year-old woman has won a beauty pageant and qualified for Miss Argentina

Alejandra Marisa Rodríguez, a 60-year-old lawyer and journalist from Buenos Aires, recently won the title of Miss Buenos Aires and thus qualified for the Miss Argentina national beauty pageant.

Late last year, the Miss Universe pageant became more inclusive by removing an age limit that had been in place since 1958. Starting this year, the competition is no longer only open to women between the ages of 18 and 28. Thus, the rules say that only contestants who have reached the legal age of 18 can participate. The decision opened the door for several mature women, including the strikingly youthful-looking 60-year-old lawyer.

Alejandra Marisa Rodríguez went viral on Latino social media after winning the title of Miss Buenos Aires despite fierce competition, with dozens of very young women entering the pageant, according to La Vanguardia.

“I am very excited and honored to have won the title of Miss Buenos Aires 2024. I want to show all women that beauty has no age and that we can break barriers”Rodríguez said on stage when he received the award. “I trained physically, worked on my confidence and improved my stage skills. I wanted to show that female power has no limits”she also said.

The 60-year-old’s youthful appearance has already sparked a heated debate online, with many expressing amazement and saying she looks at least 20 years younger than her age. People also say that she has a good chance in the next stage in the Miss Universe race, the Miss Argentina pageant. The competition will take place on May 25 and candidates from other Argentine territories will participate.

Talking about her appearance and how she manages to look so good at her age, Alejandra Marisa Rodríguez said that she works out three times a week, practices intermittent fasting, tries to eat as healthy as possible and uses good skin creams. Rodríguez is divorced and currently not in a relationship, which she believes has contributed somewhat to her success on stage.

“I think the judges saw my confidence and passion to represent women of my generation. I am determined to fight for the crown of Miss Universe Argentina 2024″she said. “Beauty has no expiration date, to be beautiful you just have to believe in yourself and be authentic”she also stated.
