“Today, Russia howled at the top of its lungs in the Romanian Parliament. What happened: Estonia donated some military equipment to Ukraine and the Ukrainian military will come here to receive this equipment and be trained to be able to use it. According to the law, the prime minister asked the CSAT for permission for Estonia to deliver the sloops to Romania and for the Ukrainians to come and learn to use them. With the approval of the CSAT, the president informed the Parliament. It’s not the first time, and it certainly won’t be the last. Such situations will arise every time there is a need to train the Ukrainian military”, says USR deputy Bogdan Rodeanu.

He specifies that Romania is not the only country that does this and that every time they received tanks or artillery, planes or battleships, the Ukrainians prepared in Canada and the United States, in Spain and Great Britain, in Sweden and Denmark, Holland, Germany and Poland. He also reminds that our country has a Cooperation Agreement, based on which, before the Russian invasion, military ships from the fleets of Romania and Ukraine participated in joint exercises in the Black Sea, together with other fleets from NATO states.

“But only now the Russian hornets in the Romanian Parliament have discovered warm water. And they started to lie: that Romania is at war, that our children are leaving in the trenches, that Putin is angry with us… Putin can only be angry with them, that they fail to convince the Romanians with their aberrations. Romania is not at war. And no one goes to fight in the trenches. And that’s because it’s needed: Ukraine fights every day and, with the support of the free world, including Romania, Russian tanks are kept away from our borders”, concludes Rodeanu.

The Parliament had on the agenda of Tuesday’s meeting an information from the President of Romania, Mr. Klaus Werner Iohannis, regarding the approval of the transit of the equipment and material goods donated by Estonia to Ukraine and the training of the Ukrainian military through the national territory.
