“You’re unstoppable, you’re a legend!”

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the 76-year-old actor, looks in enviable physical shape in a picture posted on Instagram, the first to be made public after he revealed that he had a pacemaker fitted.

A few days ago, the actor revealed that he underwent a new intervention, during which he was fitted with a pacemaker.

“Last Monday, I had an operation to become a bit more of a machine: I had a pacemaker put in. First of all, I want you to know that I feel great. I had the operation on Monday, and on Friday I was already at an event of environment with my friend Jane Fonda. No one could have said that’s how I started my week.”said the actor who has undergone three open heart surgeries over the years.

Now, however, in a photo posted on Instagram, the actor appears sitting on an armchair, with a shirt that he wears open, and on his chest he has a timer that reads: “Danger. High voltage”.

Captioning the photo, he expressed his gratitude for the messages of support he’s received from fans after revealing he’s undergone further surgery.

“Thank you. I have received so many messages from all over the world, but many people have asked me if this pacemaker will cause problems with the filming of season 2 of FUBAR. Absolutely not. We’ll be ready to shoot in April.” said the actor, who also confessed that he needs to take a break from sports.

Schwarzenegger had his first two surgeries in 1997, when his pulmonary and aortic valves were replaced. In 2018 and 2020 he went through the same kind of interventions again. He explained that the tissue that scarred from the operations resulted in irregular heartbeats. “I stayed in touch with my medical team and went for my annual check-up to see how my heart was doing. That’s life with a genetic heart defect, but you won’t hear me complain.”Arnold also said. “I can’t do my serious training in the gym for a while, but next month I will be 100% ready for the new FUBAR season”, Schwarzenegger also stated. In closing, he said he wants to inspire others to take care of their health and listen to their doctors, and to encourage those who are in the same situation as him.

The actor’s mother died in 1998 precisely because she did not have the valve replacement surgery she needed. “My mother died from the same valve problem that I had. He refused the operation. He always said, ‘If God wants me, he can have me.'”Arnold said some time ago.
