The Kurultai International Festival, now in its 7th edition, a historical event reborn, organized and realized by the Tatar Democratic Union, will take place between September 16-18, 2022 at Turqoise Beach in Venus, Mangalia.

The KURULTAI 2022 festival will enjoy 15 traditional games and sports, 6 of them inscribed in the intangible cultural heritage of humanity on the UNESCO list, 7 world cups, food and a show of traditional music and dances, creative workshops and crafts from 40 countries participants.

As part of the KURULTAI 2022 festival, for the first time the international symposium “Cultural Identity: Human Rights and UNESCO Cultural Heritage” will be held on September 17, 2022 at 3 p.m., where we will have the honor of the participation of special and distinguished national and international guests, government institutions, embassies from Romania, cultural, artistic and sports personalities.

KURULTAI 2022, the International Festival of Traditional Ethnic Cultures, will make a valuable contribution to the promotion and knowledge of the Turkish-Tatar ethnic culture and cultural diversity as a positive value towards intercultural education worldwide.

Concert 17.00-22.00 (artists from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Gagauzia, the famous Arslanbek Sultan and the Famous Ottoman Fanfare accompanied by the Seimen from Ankara, famous national and international ensembles, local and foreign singers and at the end a bonfire “calling the ancestors” and fireworks)

10.00-13.00 : 14.00-16.00 World Cup of intellectual games in the UNESCO heritage

14.00-17.00 Horseback riding

14.00-17.00 Arşice World Cup (Asyk Atu) located in the UNESCO heritage

14.00-17.00 World Cup of Mas Wrestling

Country Games with surprise prizes: Egg race, Sack race, Skanderbeg, Tug of war, Horseback riding (with or without horses)

***Saturday and Sunday demonstrations from 13.00-14.00 of Kabadi, Deshti kushti, Othello, Koresh, Slinging and many other games
