Accident in Banat, between a wood truck and a van. Two injured and traffic blocked.
Two people were injured on Thursday, following an accident on DN 58, between the towns of Păltiniș and Brebu, in Caraș-Severin county, after a truck carrying wood collided with a van. Road traffic is blocked.
According to ISU Caraș-Severin, the road accident occurred on DN 58, between the towns of Păltiniș and Brebu, between a pickup truck and a truck transporting wood
Firefighters from the Caransebeș Detachment intervened with a fire truck with extrication mode and an SMURD ambulance, an ambulance from the Caraș-Severin County Ambulance Service, a crew from the Caraș-Severin County Police Inspectorate and the SMURD helicopter.
Five people were involved in the accident, four of them in the van. Two victims required medical attention. It is about a man aged about 25, who was picked up by the SAJ ambulance, with injuries to his legs, transported to the hospital and another man aged about 60, with head trauma. The latter received medical attention from the SMURD crew, then was picked up and transported to the hospital by the SMURD helicopter.
According to the Infotraffic Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, road traffic is stopped in both directions in the area of the accident.
