Today, May 9, university professor and academician Gheorghe Paladi turns 95 years old. On this occasion, the head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health within Chisinau City Hall, Boris Gîlca, came with a congratulatory message.

“A man stronger than stone, a doctor who generated an era, a personality who became a living legend. It is our national pride and we are privileged to be your contemporaries. A world-renowned scientist, over 70 years dedicated to the medical system and maternal health, an illustrious physician-practitioner who assisted over 500,000 births during his medical career”, Boris Gîlca wrote on his Facebook page, transmits Stiri.md.

Gheorghe Paladi is the founder of the School of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Demographic School of the Republic of Moldova, being part of the “gold promotion” of USMF “Nicolae Testemițanu”. The idea of ​​founding the Mother and Child Institute also belongs to him.

“As a sign of gratitude and appreciation of the outstanding merits of the academician, Chisinau City Hall, with the support of Mayor General Ion Ceban, marked the name of Gheorghe Paladi for posterity:

– On June 9, 2020, we renamed the Municipal Clinical Hospital no. 1 in “Gheorghe Paladi” Hospital;

– On May 11, 2021, we installed the “Gheorghe Paladi” bas-relief in this hospital;

– On December 22, 2021, your bust was inaugurated at the Municipal Clinical Hospital, which bears his name.

“A legendary man, a valuable man of rare decency and a good example for future generations of doctors. Happy happy and healthy birthday, dear academician”, added Boris Gîlca.
