Every year on the 9th of May in the Orthodox calendar, the Saint Prophet Isaiah is celebrated. He is also known as the “Evangelist of the Old Testament”, a name that was given to him after he made several prophecies related to the Savior Jesus Christ and more.

The Holy Prophet Isaiah lived 700 years before the coming of the Savior Christ, during the period when King Hezekiah was in charge. In the evenings of Denia, the Orthodox say, in fact, the words of Saint Isaiah.

You became the trumpet of repentance for the Jewish people, showing their error from the right faith and from the blessing of God.

For this, we pray to you, great speaker among the prophets, seer of the divine mysteries, open the eyes of our mind, so that we understand what is for our salvation and not be like those who kick the thorn. As the one who set your heart for the people of God, do not leave us and do not overlook us either, but ask Him to forgive us and not to give us to destruction, so that, by saving us from the wanderings of the times finally, let us give Him glory together with all His saints, forever and ever.
