A young man from Dumitra who was driving a motorcycle was involved in a traffic accident on a street in Bistrița municipality, according to the Bistrița-Năsăud County Police Inspectorate. The police established that he did not have a driver’s license and was also under the influence of alcohol.
“On May 4, at around 3:20 p.m., the police officers of the Road Bureau of the Bistrita Municipality Police intervened in a road accident resulting in material damage, occurring at an intersection in Bistrita. The collision occurred between a motorcycle, driven by a 25-year-old man from Dumitra, and a car, driven by a 35-year-old man from Cetate. The two drivers were tested with the breathalyzer, the result being negative in the case of the driver and 1.02 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air in the case of the motorcyclist. At the same time, following the checks carried out, the police found out that the motorcyclist does not appear to have a driver’s license for any category of vehicles, and the motocross he was driving is not registered”. it is stated in the Police press bulletin.
A criminal case has been drawn up in the case, and the Road Bureau police officers are continuing investigations for committing the crimes of driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other substances, driving a vehicle without a driver’s license and putting into circulation or driving an unregistered vehicle.
