The Security Service of Ukraine announced that it had unmasked a network of FSB agents who were preparing the assassination of Volodymyr Zelensky. The network, whose activities were monitored by the FSB in Moscow, included two columns of the Directorate of State Security, who “leaked” secret information to the Russians.

According to the daily newspaper Ukrainska Pravda, the Russians have actively developed several plans to eliminate the president in recent months. One of the tasks of the network of FSB agents was to look for executors among the military, close to Zelensky’s guards.

The enemy’s plan was as follows: first, the recruited agent had to observe the president’s movements and transmit information to the enemy. At the coordinates of the house where Zelenski was supposed to be, it was planned to launch a missile attack. Then they were going to attack with a drone the people left at the place of the strike. After that, the Russians planned to strike with another missile, including to destroy the traces of the use of the drone.

Enemy agents also planned to assassinate the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Malyuk, and the head of the Main Directorate of Information of Ukraine, Budanov.

It appears that the so-called Fifth Service of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), which is responsible for foreign intelligence services, was responsible for the plot to assassinate senior Ukrainian officials.

The employees of this service were the ones who were involved in subversive activities in Ukraine and collected intelligence information on its territory, which should have helped in the planning of the Russian invasion.
