There is a high probability that the AUR will remain without a candidate for the presidency of the Suceava County Council. The magistrates of the Suceava Court of Appeal rejected the candidacy of the mayor of Bosanci commune, Neculai Miron, for this position. The local elected official is now seeking justice at the High Court of Cassation and Justice. On the other hand, the SOS candidates for the Suceava County Council remained in the electoral race because the magistrates of the Suceava Court accepted their appeal against the decision of the County Electoral Bureau, regarding the rejection of the candidacies.

Oana Șlemco is a graduate of the Faculty of Public Administration and the Faculty of Letters and Communication Sciences, within the “Ștefan cel Mare” University Suceava. He has been working in the media for almost 20 years, where he works as an editor, commentator, producer of shows, but he likes the most when he is on the ground, among people. She is convinced that journalism that defends the common good did not die the day social media appeared online. He believes that the journalist’s role is to fight for the restoration of reality and tackles issues of community interest. The values that guide his professional activity are transparency – which implies giving the public the chance to monitor the process of collecting, reporting, presenting and disseminating information – and responsibility, which means assuming the consequences of decisions and facts. In 2008, he received the publication award of the Cultural Foundation of Bucovina. In 2013, he won a “Euromonitor for Excellence” scholarship and did a training internship in the RFI newsroom in Brussels. In 2016, he received the award for the journalism category in the “People of the Time” campaign. In 2020, he received the top prize “Honestly about poverty”, awarded by the “Renasis” Association.
