Nutritionist Mihaela Bilic reveals a secret on Easter! She says that, in addition to traditional dishes, it is important to use two vegetables that bring important benefits to the body.

The doctor says that, during this period, we must take into account some dietary rules. Especially since there will be a few days when most Romanians will eat chaotically and in larger quantities.

The two vegetables to eat at Easter

According to Dr. Mihaela Bilic, it would be good, these days, to pay more attention to these vegetables, especially those people who have been fasting in the last few days.

She says they have amazing benefits and should not be missing from the holiday table. In this period when most Romanians will eat more meat-based foods, it is extremely important to give great importance to the two vegetables.

They have an aromatic and quite strong taste, and not everyone can eat them, but the benefits they have are quite incredible.

It’s about onions and green garlic. According to the nutritionist, they facilitate the body’s detoxification process. It also helps digestion and is an advantage in the weight loss process.

“On the Easter menu you have to include the stew, that stew based on onions and green garlic. It’s the time of the year when it’s good to eat plenty of greens, as food, not as spices! If digestion allows us and those around us don’t protest, it wouldn’t hurt to eat onions and garlic more often. They contain sulfur compounds that activate the liver and detoxify it. At the level of the cardiovascular system, it thins the blood, lowers blood pressure, cholesterol levels and, implicitly, the risk of cardiovascular diseases,” said Mihaela Bilic.

Mihaela Bilic also explained why it is good to eat these Easter vegetables, but also how they act on the body. For example, garlic isit is considered a natural antibiotic.

“Garlic has always been considered a natural antibiotic, the allicin in its structure acts on bacteria and fungi harmful to the body and balances the intestinal and oral flora (it has a bactericidal effect on candida). Less well known is the fact that garlic causes the release of nitric oxide, the same miracle molecule found in male enhancement pills.

Quercitin from onions and vinyldithiin from garlic inhibit the transformation of pre-adipocytes into adipocytes and block the action of the genes responsible for the appearance of new fat cells. So the consumption of onions and garlic can be an aid to losing weight, by limiting the expansion of fat deposits”, says Mihaela Bilic on Facebook.
