Denis had his whole life ahead of him, but it ended tragically in a car accident. The 21-year-old died and four other people were injured after the driver got behind the wheel while drunk. The breathalyzer showed a value of 0.54 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.

A 21-year-old man met a tragic end

The deceased young man, 21 years old, Denis Drîndă, was a registered footballer at CSO Retezatul Hațeg. A serious road accident happened within the radius of the town of Băiţa, Hunedoara county.

“The police arrived at the scene, found that a 23-year-old man, while driving a car on DJ 700A, respectively on the radius of the town of Băiţa, under conditions to be determined later, lost control of the direction of travel in a curve to the left entering a guardrail. As a result of the road incident, a 21-year-old man died,” reported IPJ Hunedoara on Friday.

As I mentioned in the lines above, the driver who caused the accident got behind the wheel drunk. He was tested with the breathalyzer, which indicated a value of 0.54 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.

Shortly after Denis passed away, the club where he worked sent a message of condolences.

“With great pain in our hearts, we say goodbye to Denis Drîndă, a young football player registered at CSO Retezatul Hațeg, who died in the afternoon of today in a road accident in Crăciunești, Băița commune. The tragedy shook the community local and the entire sports family that met Denis.

Family, friends and colleagues from CSO Retezatul Hațeg are in mourning and send their sincere condolences. Club representatives said: Denis was a passionate player, a wonderful colleague and a young man with a bright future. We will all miss him.
